Guided Bird Walk Spittal Pond 3 Sep 2016

The Bermuda Audubon Society is offering a free guided walk to residents and visitors on 3rd September 2016. The event is part of World Shorebird Day and participants should meet at the Eastern carpark at 8am.

As well as the fascinating checkerboard formation in the Nature Reserve (pictured), walkers should spot some familiar resident birds, including Mallards, Yellow-crowned Night Herons, Common Moorhen and American Coot. Migratory shorebirds might include Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Spotted Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper and American Bittern.
