Bermuda – it’s not in the Caribbean

Really. It’s not. Everyone thinks Bermuda is just a stone’s throw from Jamaica or Cuba, but in fact, it’s much further north-east, roughly opposite Charleston in South Carolina and around 745 miles from its Caribbean neighbors. It stays warm due to the Gulf Stream and has the most northerly coral reefs in the Atlantic.
