Category:2004 non-fiction booksThe U.S. Soccer Federation is in talks with Major League Soccer about selling its team in Orlando, and the two sides are “close to reaching an agreement” on a sale, the president and chief executive officer of the federation’s board said Thursday.
More than two months after MLS commissioner Don Garber reiterated at a board meeting in New York that he’s been interested in buying a team in Florida, Peter Wilt told reporters in Orlando that “they’re getting close” to a deal.
“I’m really pleased with where things are going,” said Wilt. “I think we have good relationships with both of the owners and their respective teams. I think we have a good chance to make this work.”
Asked later if MLS commissioner Don Garber had been working with Wilt on the sale, he said: “I wouldn’t say that he has, no. Peter did a lot of the early work on this. I’ve been in New York for a few weeks now, and we’ve just been in dialogue, one on one and jointly with others as well.”
Wilt said he has spoken to Garber on multiple occasions this week. Asked if the two are close to an agreement, Wilt said, “I’d say they’re close to reaching an agreement. It’s not done. We’re really focused on making it happen.”
Garber met with Wilt and many members of the Orlando City ownership group about two weeks ago in New York, he said. Wilt said he didn’t know the specifics of that meeting, but it was the first time the two had spoken since a January meeting in New York.
“Peter did a lot of the groundwork,” he said. “We’ve been sort of going back and forth between New York and Orlando, working on this.”
Wilt wouldn’t identify the buyers that are interested in purchasing the club, or say what they plan to do with the club once it’s sold.
“I can’t say what we’re doing with the team, I can’t really say what the buyer is going to do with the team,” Wilt said.
Wilt would say only that https://tuinfonavit.xyz/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/darowic.pdf
